"i twerked my back."

Well, it happened. Mallory got married! The first of the twelve. It was such a beautiful ceremony and reception. Not to mention she looked GORGEOUS!

Thanks to Mal getting married another glorious thing happened. For the first time since we left Ukraine, 8 of the 12 girls were all together at once. It was so much fun!!

Kylie came to town last Tuesday from Arizona and stayed with me for a week. We got to have lunch with Mallory and we all got to catch up for a little while.

On Wednesday it was Harry Potter's birthday. And when half of the time you spent in the Ukraine was spent reading, talking, and watching Harry Potter, it only seems reasonable that you bake him a cake. So Samantha, Cherish, Kylie, Afton, and I all made Harry a cake. Well, mostly I made it, but they watched me fail miserably, or in my words, it's a cake inspired by Hagrid. Afton had to leave pretty early which was really sad, but Mallory showed up later and we had a fantastic time! Samantha, Cherish, and Mallory all spent the night at my apartment with Kylie and me. We stayed up pretty late talking, laughing, and twerking. Yes, twerking. I could somewhat do it, but as Cherish likes to say, she twerks her back, not her butt.

Thursday night was just as fun! Kylie, Cherish, and Alexis were all over and we just had fun spending time together. It was relaxed, but still so fun.

Then the big day came. The day of the wedding! We all got ready together then went and picked up Erika (who was in town from Rexburg, Idaho on her way home to Arizona) on the way to the ceremony. I nearly killed us on the way there, but we're all okay.

The venue was absolutely gorgeous! It was at a place called Louland Falls in Salt Lake up the canyon a little ways. It was outside and the grass was green, the sun was shining, and the waterfalls splashing made for a great background. We went and saw Mallory right before the ceremony started, and we all got a little teary eyed.

The ceremony was short and sweet! Then we all took pictures then left for lunch, because by then we were starving!

Later Hanna met up with us (she drove down from Rexburg, Idaho) and went to the reception, and once again, it was gorgeous! If I ever get married and it happened to be in Utah I am definitely having a reception there. I loved it. We had a fun time watching everything happen (aka people watching which is what we are best at) and getting to visit with one another.

After we sent off Chris and Mal with sparklers we all headed to WinCo for snacks. It was so hard deciding what to get, but eventually we all headed out with what we wanted. Then back to my condo we went. That's when the real party started. There were 7 of us here. Samantha, Erika, Hanna, Cherish, Alexis, Kylie, and me. We talked, snacked, laughed, and water gurgle sang. I'm not exactly how to describe the last one. Erika has a talent. She can gurgle water while singing. So, naturally, we all had to try. I'm pretty sure everyone got soaked at some point. It was so, so funny. We literally did that for hours.

The next morning we all dispersed, which was pretty sad. Hanna and Kylie stayed at my condo though, so I came home to some friendly faces. We went and had dinner with Alexis and when we finished with that Samantha came over. And we watched One Tree Hill. It was my new addiction. I love it.

Hanna and Samantha left Sunday and Alexis came by with cheesecake. BEST CHEESECAKE EVER. It was a pretty relaxed day. Meaning, we watched One Tree Hill for 13 hours. No big deal. Keep it a secret though.

Monday was Kylie's last night, so we went to dinner with Alexis and Samantha and we all had a fun time. Then Samantha came back with us to the condo and we watched One Tree Hill again, because we got her into it too.

Kylie left yesterday and it was pretty sad. But my sister and her friend got here so I still have company, which is nice...sometimes. I miss the quiet.

Overall, last week was much, much more productive than the week before. And I got to spend it with some of my most favorite people in the world! I told yall I have a life!

  2. Was this a blog or a journal entry? You need to work on that dance thing you were doing. in fact I am wondering if it is even legal?
